The Emergency Beacon Project is an effort to decrease response times of law enforcement, fire and rescue units to the citizens of Gilchrist County. Maintaining the safety of the citizens in Gilchrist County is one of the highest priorities for the Sheriff's Office.

The Vial of Life program was an idea formed several years ago to provide a mini-history of the patient within the household that is readily accessible. The vial of life enables medics to obtain a quick medical history when the patient is unable to provide one.

Project Childsafe is a nationwide program to help ensure safe and responsible firearms ownership and storage, developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and is supported by a U.S. Department of Justice grant.

Taser - Non-Lethal Weapon of the Future is now being used by the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office.
