The Investigations Section is comprised of five sworn law enforcement officers and a division commander. The Investigation Division's investigators are well-trained and most of them are specialized in different fields from child abuse, sexual abuse, burglary, fraud, and terrorism. All major crimes committed in Gilchrist County that are reported are reviewed and assigned to a designated investigator. The investigator will then follow up on each indivudual case and will conduct their investigation until that case is completed.

Investigators rotate shifts in order to provide adequate resources available to assist patrol deputies canvas areas that have been target areas. During this current fiscal year, we have not only been successful in making numerous arrests and seizing several items, but we are also working on improved ways to assist in solving more crimes than previous years.
